Fowler senior Jocelynn Budwig won her second straight shot put state title as she finished with a personal-best mark of 49-2.75 (15.00m) and also won the discus with a personal-best throw of 171-10 (52.37m) at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Fowler became the first repeat shot put champion since San Jose Valley Christian graduate Elena Bruckner in 2015-16, along with the first to sweep both titles since Stamatia Scarvelis of Dos Pueblos in 2014.
